Our favourite red carpet dresses 2018

What is there not to love about a red carpet? Endless beautiful celebrities, flawless evening dress and hair and make-up to die for. As we all know, Hollywood superstars have their pick of every top designer under the sun pleading to dress them for their special red carpet appearance, they have the hard choice of selecting hundreds of beautiful dresses over the others as they pick the perfect one for their special occassion red carpet event! 

Our favourite evening gowns on the red carpet 2018!

Taraji P Henson is the actress that plays Cookie Lyon in the popular Empire music television series. Her sassy, powerful character sure comes out in this knockout evening gown. There is something simple yet understatedly glam about this gown. With a plunging V neckline wit feminine off the shoulder Bardot style cap sleeves, this gown is playfully feminine on the top, yet super sexy on the bottom with a thigh high split and billowing mermaid train. Being a black gown, this dress could have been considered an underwhelming, low risk choice, yet Taraji pulls the whole look together with a smouldering smokey eye, and diamond choker necklace. Gorgeous!

Our next winner is Catherine Zeta Jones. Voted one of the worlds most beautiful women several times over, we are impressed with this choice by Mrs Douglas. We didn't expect to see CZJ rocking such a suggestive gown which is semi-sheer all over and her modesty protected by what looks like a pair of high waisted underwear. This gown is gorgeous, with it's velvet belt to cinch in the waist and the incredible sequin embellished detail over the mesh, this dress is a work of art. The long sleeves and generous mermaid train which spans out behind the dress are almost bewitching. The emerald earrings really make the whole look pop. Big points for this one. 

Our next winner is Dakota Johnson at the 2018 Golden Globe Awards. Know predominately for her role in the Fifty Shades sequel, it's nice to see Dakota in something so long, elegant and grown up. The magic of the dress is all at the back, where there lies beautiful silver sequin embellished detail in a big bow shape and a dramatic mesh skirt with a long, cascading train. Dakota's girlish ponytail is a cute contrast in this dress and her sexy, vampish make-up is beautiful.

Our final winner is Kendall Jenner. Kendall totally killed it at the 2018 Golden Globes in this long-short black puffball of a prom dress number. Kendall is young and therefore we love the fact that she wore something age appropriate, yet still in theme with the event. The dress is elegant and glamorous, yet the little rise at the front of the dress showing of some sexy, toned leg is perfect for her. The strapless, tulle bodice is girly and simple and the dramatic black skirt is just gorgeous. Kendall's black, point shoe choice is perfect and her simple hair and smokey make up and soft nude lip is ideal for this showstopper of a gown. We love it!
