Returns & Cancellations Policy

Effective from August 2025

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Please read the following carefully to understand your rights and how to return or cancel an order.

Your Right to Cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)

Under UK consumer law, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods. This allows you to change your mind and notify us in writing via:

If you cancel before your order has shipped, you will be refunded in full, including any shipping fees paid.

Returns Window

If you cancel within the legal 14-day window, you then have an additional 14 days to return the goods to us — giving you a total of 28 days from receipt to return your item.

Returns Conditions

  • Items must be returned unused, in their original condition, with all tags and designer labels attached.
  • Items must be returned in their original packaging, including any protective materials or accessories.
  • Returns must be securely packaged. Special occasion gowns must be returned immaculately. Refunds may be reduced if items are returned heavily creased, damaged, or poorly packaged.
  • Returns not meeting these conditions may be refused or refunded partially at our discretion.

Custom or personalised items are non-returnable unless faulty, in accordance with UK law.

How to Return

  1. Contact us within 14 days of receiving your order to request a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) at info@shaideboutique.com.
  2. Once your RMA is approved, complete the returns form and send the item(s) to the address provided.
  3. You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty or otherwise agreed.

Important: All returns must be authorised. Returns without an RMA will not be accepted.

All return shipments must be clearly marked as "Returned Goods" on customs documentation to avoid delays. You are responsible for any customs charges due to mislabelling.

Late Returns

Returns received after 28 days from the date of receipt will not be accepted.
Late items may be returned to you or, at our discretion, accepted for store credit only.

Refunds

  • Refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5–10 working days of receiving and approving your return.
  • Refunds may be reduced if returned items are damaged, incomplete, or show signs of wear.
  • Shipping fees are non-refundable, unless your order is cancelled before dispatch or the product is faulty.

Faulty or Misdescribed Items (Consumer Rights Act 2015)

If your item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, you are entitled to a full refund, repair, or replacement within 30 days of receiving your order, under UK law.
This right exists regardless of our standard returns window.

Please contact us immediately at info@shaideboutique.com if you believe your item is faulty.

Cancellations

  • You may cancel your order any time before it ships for a full refund, including shipping.
  • Once your order has shipped, cancellations are no longer possible. You may still return the item under your cancellation rights.

Shipping Fees

  • We offer express delivery only, with charges applied at checkout.
  • If your item has already shipped, shipping charges are non-refundable.
  • Refunds will cover the product cost only, unless you cancel before dispatch.

Shipping Responsibility, Refused Deliveries & Import Duties

Once your order has shipped, you will receive a shipment notification email containing your tracking number. It is your responsibility to monitor the progress of your delivery and respond to any updates or requests from the carrier. We do not liaise with shipping carriers on behalf of customers.

If import duties or taxes are applicable, these are the customer’s responsibility and must be paid directly to the shipping carrier. Failure to pay import duties, provide required delivery information, or be available to accept delivery may result in the shipment being returned to us.

In such cases, you will be charged for both the outbound and return shipping costs, which will be deducted from your refund.

Refusing delivery of your order does not constitute a valid cancellation under UK consumer law. If you wish to cancel your order, you must notify us in writing (by email or contact form) within 14 days of receiving your goods. If your order has already shipped and you refuse delivery without written cancellation, outbound and return shipping costs will be deducted from any applicable refund.

Chargebacks initiated in breach of these terms may result in the refusal of future orders and will be contested with full documentation.

Important Notice: Refused Deliveries and Chargebacks

Refusing delivery of an order does not constitute a valid cancellation under UK consumer law. Orders can only be cancelled by notifying us in writing before dispatch.

If an order is refused upon delivery without prior written cancellation, it will be treated as an unauthorised return. In such cases:

·       The original outbound shipping fee

·       The cost of return shipping

·       And any associated handling or processing fees

·       will be deducted from your refund, or may render you ineligible for a refund altogether, at our discretion.

Unauthorised chargebacks that contradict our published Terms & Conditions will be considered fraudulent misuse of payment protections. We reserve the right to:

·       Dispute such chargebacks with full documentation

·       Permanently block the customer from placing future orders

·       And, if necessary, pursue recovery of incurred losses

By completing your purchase, you agree to these terms in full.

Taxes & Duties

  • Any Import taxes and duties are the customer’s responsibility.
  • These are charged by the carrier and must be paid directly.
  • If you refuse to pay duties or reject delivery, any associated return shipping fees will be deducted from your refund.

Exchanges

  • You may request an exchange instead of a return within 14 days of receipt.
  • Exchanges must follow the same process as returns and are subject to availability.
  • Returned items must meet all conditions above to qualify for exchange.

Restocking Fee (U.S. Only)

  • $35 restocking fee per gown applies to returns originating from the U.S.
  • No restocking fees are applied to returns from the Jewellery or Sportswear collections.

Repeated Returns

We reserve the right to monitor customer return activity.
Customers repeatedly breaching our policy may have future orders declined.

Colour Accuracy

We strive to display all product colours accurately. However, actual colours may vary due to screen differences across devices.
